“The Burden” to Premiere at Oakville Film Festival
We are incredibly excited to announce that The Burden, our animated short film for children, will have its official premiere at the Oakville Film Festival (OFFA) on June 21, 2025.
This marks a major milestone for us, especially as The Burden is the directorial, writing, and producing debut for our Founder. The film explores themes of care, responsibility, and emotional resilience through a stylized animated lens that young audiences can connect with deeply.
Our screening is part of a very special National Indigenous Peoples Day Gala event, which includes another short film, Indigenous drummers and performers, a feature film, and a celebratory after-event. It’s a powerful and meaningful context in which to present The Burden, and we are honored to be included.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Oakville Festivals of Film & Art (OFFA) for selecting our work and giving us this opportunity. We are also deeply grateful for the ongoing support and collaboration of Sheridan College, one of our most valued partners. Sheridan has long maintained a strong relationship with the Oakville Film Festival through their outstanding Film and Television program, and it means the world to us to have our first film showcased through this connection.
This is more than just a screening, it’s a celebration of emerging voices, community, and the power of storytelling through film.
